Interactive Enterprise Completes Interoperability of Its PacketCableTM
CMS Interface With Cedar Point Communications’ SAFARI C³™ for VoIP
October 27 2003--Interactive Enterprise, the provider of ConexonTM -- the #1 globally deployed system in the cable activation market – today announced that it has successfully completed interoperability testing of its PacketCableTM Call Management Server (CMS) interface with Cedar Point Communications Inc.’s, SAFARI C³™ Media Switching System for VoIP telephony services.
The Cedar Point interface extends Conexon’s library of interfaces and business processes to support the deployment of voice services. Cedar Point Communications offers integrated packet-based voice switching technologies for the cable industry. Its Cable Media Switching Systems voice switching equipment is PacketCableTM compliant for broadband cable operators.
In addition to Cedar Point Communications, Conexon interfaces are now available for VoIP solutions from Cisco, Syndeo, and Nuera Communications. These vendors are also supported in Motorola’s Advanced Provisioning System (MAPS), which embeds Interactive Enterprises’ Conexon for service management and provisioning.
According to Tom Higgins, Interactive Enterprise CEO, “Enabling voice services is far more complex than basic high speed data services. Having a large number of global deployments has enabled us to develop a suite of business processes and interfaces for leading vendors, enabling the rapid deployment of multiple services to broadband consumers. Similar to other interfaces developed in Conexon, the Cedar Point interoperability was undertaken due to market demand. The industry is going through a lot of change. Broadband operators want to work with leading vendors with a track record to avoid draining their resources. With voice deployments in Japan, Spain, Singapore and Hong Kong, we undoubtedly have the credibility.”
About Interactive Enterprise (www.interactive-enterprise.com).
Founded in 1998, Interactive Enterprise, Ltd. develops and markets broadband provisioning and service activation software to global broadband operators. Its ConexonTM software platform is the #1 solution deployed globally and enables operators to rapidly deploy voice, video and data services to their subscribers across multiple broadband platforms and devices. The company markets its multi-service offerings throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia directly and through channel partners such as Motorola and C-COR.net.
Interactive Enterprise differentiates its recently introduced Open Conexon platform on its ability to reduce operating costs by as much as 40 percent with a 7-12 month ROI. It also offers an accelerated time to revenue as operators can both deploy Open Conexon applications and rapidly develop and deploy their own complementary service packages from the platform. Further, Open Conexon enables operators to define any service and develop interfaces into third-party complementary applications such as digital head-ends, telephone switches, billing systems, etc. This gives operators complete control over the end-to-end creation and delivery of services and protects their investments. It also enables the rapid uptake of services by subscribers, thus increasing the service provider’s average revenue per user (ARPU).
